SADESMO has won all the seats at eThekwini College in the 2024 SRC Elections.

The South African Democratic Students Movement, the IFP aligned student organization, won the highly anticipated students' elections convincingly at eThekwini College, defeating their opposition- the ANC aligned South African Students Congress.

Langa Nzuza, the chief Independent Electoral Commission officer responsible for monitoring the elections, confirmed that SADESMO had emerged victorious in the peaceful elections.

SADESMO won seven positions and SASCO won four.

SADESMO provincial Chairperson Ntokozo Mafuleka said the results were the proof that last year's elections were not legitimate.

Spokesperson Bheki Hlophe said," There were no reports of any disruption during the elections, and we hope the new leadership will represent students' needs and show maturity when discussing student matters."
